The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is traditionally the largest show in the mobile industry. Huawei will continue this tradition with the introduction of its first foldable phone in the show. The invitation recently issued by the Chinese company shows quite clearly that its official debut in MWC 2019 will be this year. However, it was supposed to be launched before Samsung. MWC Keynote from Huawei foldable phone is scheduled for 2 p.m. Barcelona Time/8 p.m. ET on Sunday, 24 February.

Huawei said in a separate tweet by promising MWC will see the first 5G foldable device in the world. In addition to it, 5G networks are far from useful maturity, but hype around 5G mobiles will continue as planned for 2019. Stay tuned for a flood of strange new form factors (LG is rumored to schedule the second attachable screen for its G-line) and a lot of 5G stickers as we get closer to MWC at the end of this month.
